LYNX - the new standard for hazard management

IVMS is the software development hub for the JANS GROUP. LYNX has been developed completely by IVMS. Built on decades of experience and with staff who had previously worked in the Honeywell Software Group, a vision of a completely new approach to hazard management was brought to life. LYNX is the central unifying element for the security of a building. A completely new dimension for building management was created by the transparent consolidation of all security-relevant elements into a simple to operate GUI with flexible interfacing.

LYNX Hazard management

is based on information and notifications from different autonomous security and information systems. The decisive factor for the optimised usage of all the information sources and the resulting increased security is the intelligent consolidation into a comprehensive yet simple, clear and easily manageable total picture. The user is in the position of being able to record all events and situations and to optimise the reaction to them. LYNX sets the new standard in hazard management, built on the experience from myriads of earlier systems, on visionary ideas, on current customer requirements and on state-of-the-art technology. The new highly scalable and flexible management system, with universal application options, was born out of industry knowledge gong back over decades.

LYNX is always the right decision, irrespective of whether you are looking for a hazard management system, for building automation, for a GUI for many different disciplines or for a video control room solution. The LYNX deployment spectrum ranges from a small Home Controller right up to large scale multi-server/multi-client systems for industry and commerce. With its built-in redundancy functions, the multi-server concept complies with the highest security demands. Supporting a wide choice of operating units, ranging from a professional multi-monitor control centre, through desktop clients and Web clients to mobile devices such as Smartphones and tablet PCs, LYNX gives you immediate information about the current situation. This allows you to react safely, quickly and effectively, keeping everything under control at all times.

From the start of the product development, the focus has been on creating the highest possible customer benefits and this is reflected in LYNX, the system that can be tailored to meet many different customer demands both in terms of operation and function. A powerful and flexibly programming interface makes these individual modifications and expansions possible.

Always with an overview

LYNX combines current status information into graphics, tables and texts, with video, sound and image content. Enhanced by appropriate stored information and online data, the result is a comprehensive overall picture, providing the basis for correct decision making and reactions.

The incoming notifications are analysed and particular events and event-combinations lead to individually configurable alarm generation. Alarm processing is done in line with customised rules and guidelines and can be controlled interactively through user inputs. Events are presented clearly and understandably and can be traced end-to-end, from override group displays through to detailed messaging. The contemporary user interface design as deployed by leading companies and operating system manufacturers, has many similarities to LYNX. So LYNX is a perfect extension of this. All important information is displayed concisely and visual overload is avoided.

LYNX AR is the simple to configure visualisation of notifications. Visualisation software for the TELENOT alarm receiving equipment comXline AE, ÜZ 7500 and ÜZ 7525. Incoming notifications and stored events are displayed with linked object data. LYNX AR can be expanded to become a complex hazard management system with graphics support and connection to and control of many different security and video systems.

LYNX DVMS is a high-performing and scalable video management system. Its flexible client/server architecture allows operation of systems from just a few to several thousand cameras. LYNX DVMS processes video streams from all commonly-used IP cameras, servers, frame grabbers and DirectShow-compatible devices.

Integration with access control systems, intercoms and hazard notification systems is made simple through the integration with LYNX and LYNX-Connect. The optional broadcast server enables video data streams to be distributed to different Web clients such as Google Chrome as well as to a wide range of mobile devices operating under iOS, Android or Windows Phone 8. The DVMS Server is a background process that captures, evaluates, records and makes this data available to local or remote clients. The server can be operated as an NVR, DVR or a hybrid on special hardware or in a virtual machine. The DVMS client is the central operating and evaluation unit for all the live and recorded video and audio streams that are managed by the DVMS servers.

The GUI has a modular design and can be tailored to meet individual user requirements. The modules cover the complete deployment spectrum from server management, PTZ control, simple to operate search functions and right up to exporting and archiving with watermarks. The complete power of the application can only be fully realised however when it is working together with a LYNX system. Operation is then done directly from the building plan graphics or the alarm processing. LYNX and DMVS clients can be distributed across several computers.
