In the future, most of the servers deployed by the city of Munich that previously were distributed across many locations through the city, will be housed here. The over 650 staff of the city’s own IT Service provider it@M work here in premises of about 37,200 m² spread over several office buildings, which also house a print centre and data centre. As with previous projects, the Munich city authorities concentrated very much on sustainability and synergies. With an ecologically-sound cooling system, large public green spaces and good public transport connection, they created the best conditions for a communal “Green IT”.
